DoE introduced the Foundation for Learning Campaign
"Laying solid foundations"
This four-year campaign (2008-2011)
will focus on the improvement of  Literacy and Numeracy.

This is NOT a new curriculum, but rather an initiative to focus energy on those things
that we lost over the last couple of years.

In essence this long overdue campaign means
"Back to the BASICS"
This is what the Minister of Education, Naledi Pandor  has to say.
